Conclusions
As you can see there were times when i struggled to form coherent notes. You can attribute this to the sheer action-packed velocity of the franchise or the mind-numbing idiocy of it all. You decide.
Either way the franchise does exactly what it says on the tin and doesn’t let things like plot get in the way of a good explosion.
Some of the more outlandish sequences toward the end of the series just gave way to silliness. Arguably this was the title finding its voice.
Dare I say it but i actually enjoyed the 6th and 7th installments and Stathams role in the 8th despite his character being completely defanged. But then the subject of the bad guys becoming good guys seems to be a major theme.
All in all I wasn’t sold on these films but they’re the closest blood relative we have to the dumb action genre so i wont throw them into Room 101 just yet.
