Cracking this one open it becomes quickly apparent that it’s a lively brew. Foaming wildly it couldn’t wait to get out, and i couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
Forged in Cornwall this Pale Ale pours equally as lively producing a fluffy and creamy head that hangs around all day like a friendly cloud. The pour is a murky orange and brown.
On the nose the aroma is a fruitier take on a traditional English Ale but doesn’t show all of its cards.
To taste, theres a nice juicy hit of apricot and stonefruit sweetness which carries on into the mid taste. This gives way to an Traditional English Ale finish with a hint of dryness and a touch of the bitter.
The tropical notes usually associated with the Norwegian Voss Kveik yeast, and the addition of Jester and Olicana hops comes through in the initial taste but fades away soon after.
Canute Kveik is brewed exclusively for Flavourly but you can find more information on the core range at firebrandbrewing.co.uk/.
