Box R 4K Plus
The Homatics Box R 4k Plus android box is a powerful media streaming device that allows users to access a wide variety of content and applications which can be downloaded via the Google Play Store.
It features streaming and playback of content in ultra-high definition, which results in a stunning visual experience. The increased resolution allows for more detailed and lifelike images, making it an excellent option for those who want to watch movies and TV shows with the highest quality possible.
The Homatics 4k Box R android box also comes with a built-in quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, meaning it has the power to run multiple apps at once and ensures that there is minimal lag or buffering while streaming content.
The box also comes with built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet support, which means that users can connect to the internet and stream content wirelessly or through a wired connection.
A huge advantage of the Homatics 4k Box R android box is its ability to run Kodi, alongside a variety of more legally-unambiguous sources, including Netflix, Disney+, Prime etc.

Conclusion
What most impressed me about this one (aside from the certifications dripping off it) is the strictly no fuss setup – literally plug it in and the box does the rest. Such is the beauty of current Google integration. The initial setup involved a 900mb update straight away so setup time was around 5 mins max.
The Box R even functioned in a notorious WiFi blackspot within my home, but obviously best results would be connecting it via the LAN port.
The box emits a sensual and aesthetically pleasing blue glow upon activation and tranquil setup music upon first boot. When not in use there is a reassuring red light strip.
I’ve read a lot of criticism of the Box R online, comparing it to the Nvidia Shield which has a similar price tag and spec. I can’t speak to that comparison personally but I can advise doing research on both before coming down on either. You might be pleasantly surprised!
The Box R can convert the Dolby digital + from the streaming apps (Netflix, Disney+ etc ) to Dolby Digital 5.1 so it can still be used with older home cinema systems that don’t support the Dolby Digital + signal. Bonus points there.
There is a native iOS screen mirroring app built in but not an android equivalent.
4K Netflix was not achievable.
The box runs Kodi smoothly and picks up streams without any fuss which alongside the standard streaming platform makes this a powerful addition to any home theatre setup.
I love it – It’s turned a fairly redundant and luddite Sony Bravia TV (without Smart/Android options and a missing IR remote) into a smart streaming theatre. Extra points as the Box R IR remote can be programmed for use with the TV itself.
You can pick up the Homatics Box R 4K Plus from their website for around $149 (£122 GBP)
